Paradise Valley Project: Family Room + Boy’s Bedroom
Hi all! The project reveal continues and we’re thrilled to highlight two standout spaces from our Paradise Valley Project: the cozy, functional family room and a playful yet timeless bedroom for our client’s son.
In case you missed it, last week we shared the entry, living, and dining room of this project. Click here to catch up.
Family Room
This space had great bones, but it needed a thoughtful touch to feel complete. Our clients wanted a design that balanced grand and cozy, perfect for their family’s needs. By solving key design challenges, we transformed it into a warm, welcoming retreat.
The Challenges We Solved:
Window Beams: The clients weren’t fans of their bulky appearance.
An Awkward Built-In: A mirrored nook lacked purpose.
Flooring: Tile made the space feel cold and disjointed.
Our Solutions:
We replaced the tile with medium white oak flooring, instantly warming and unifying the space. Elegant custom window treatments concealed the beams and added polish while staying budget-friendly. A win-win!
The ceiling’s wood texture brought natural charm, so we left it untouched, but swapped the ceiling fan for a chandelier from the clients’ previous home. This personal touch added a unique visual contrast.
The mirrored nook became a functional bench area for the kids, complete with a small table, ottoman, and a coat of Kendall Charcoal by Benjamin Moore for added depth. Perfect for games or homework—our clients love this space. On another wall, a family photo gallery paired with a bench added warmth and personality.
Finally, a large area rug and sectional with custom pillows anchored the space, making it the ideal spot for gathering and relaxing.
By layering warm wood tones, natural textures, and personal touches, we turned this space into a stylish, functional haven for the whole family. Check out the before-and-after photos to see how thoughtful design can transform a house into a home!

Boy’s Bedroom
This boy’s bedroom is the perfect mix of playful and timeless! At only nine years old, his parents wanted a space that feels fun and charming now, but can easily grow with him over time.
We added striped wallpaper for character and chose a leather headboard paired with waffle-knit bedding and custom pillows to bring in visual interest. For this room, we selected Schumacher’s Moncorvo-Slate wallpaper and paired it with Benjamin Moore’s Chantilly Lace on the baseboards. Matching nightstands and lamps keep the design neutral yet layered, styled with stunning vignettes.
With youthful charm and a touch of masculinity, this room is ready for all stages of life—and yes, there’s plenty of storage for all the toys, nerf guns, and games. A special space he can truly call his own!
