Hermosa Groves Project: Powder Bath
Welcome back! We’ve made it to the final stop on our Hermosa Groves Project reveal…but don’t worry, we’ve got another dreamy project coming your way very soon. Before we get into all the design details…take a second to soak in the beauty. You’re going to want to see all the details up close.
This was one of the trickiest rooms to design because it’s tiny. Like—there wasn’t even enough room for sconces on either side of the mirror—tiny. So it was a bit of a challenge.
We obviously had to go with wallpaper in here to give the space that moody, intimate feel. Paired with the checkered marble floors, the patterns adds just the right amount of drama. We painted the trim, ceiling, and back of the door with London Fog by Farrow & Ball. This pulls out the pinky-brown undertones running through the space—and ties it all back to the palette we used throughout the rest of the home.
Since we couldn’t do two sconces, we went with a single pendant light hanging from the ceiling. It ended up being the perfect solution. We designed a custom vanity to fit the space. We chose a gorgeous dark walnut stain to match the warm tones seen throughout the home. One of my favorite details is the beautiful backsplash with the brass faucet.
This bathroom transformation is unreal. I am so happy with how it turned out. The texture, the contrast, the softness of the pink undertones in the floors…it all comes together in a way that feels rich, layered, and totally unexpected.
Honestly, small spaces are where we get to be the most creative and this little room is proof.
