Coeur d’Alene Lake House Paint Guide

Whenever I share a photo from this project, I'm asked about the paint colors and wallpaper choices. The Coeur d'Alene Lake House is a perfect showcase of my design style, reflecting the colors and aesthetics we love at LWD. Get ready to take notes, as I'm about to reveal every paint color used in this project, from the kitchen walls to the bathroom cabinets.

Entry

The entryway of the Coeur d'Alene Lake House is renowned for its captivating color. The paint covers everything. The walls, trim, and doors, creating a bold statement that's simply irresistible.

To achieve this dramatic effect, I chose to paint the entire space with a reliable favorite, Puritan Gray by Benjamin Moore.

Laundry Room

The vertical paneling is Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore, a color consistently used throughout this home for its perfect white hue. The cabinets, however, are painted in Cloud White by Benjamin Moore, offering the perfect complementary shade.

Living Room

Moving into the living room, we have stunning white walls, shiplap on the side wall, and custom stained wood trim. The walls and cabinets are painted with Cloud White by Benjamin Moore while the shiplap is painted with Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore. We chose Chantilly Lace for many other areas such as the baseboards, door casements, and the interior doors.

Living Room Bar

This living room features a stunning bar. When designing it, we aimed for a color that stands out, allowing the bar to have its own moment. For the cabinet color, we chose Mindful Gray by Sherwin Williams.

I love how this grey stands out from the warm wood trim.

Kitchen

Just like in the living room, the walls and cabinets are painted in Cloud White by Benjamin Moore. The island cabinets feature a custom wood stain similar to the wood floors. This combination perfectly complements the white walls and wood trim, adding to the unique character of the home.

Primary Bedroom & Bathroom

In the primary bedroom, we again are using Cloud White by Benjamin Moore on the walls for a serene and clean look. The trim, including the accent wall behind the bed, is finished in  Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore with a satin finish for a touch of elegance.

In the primary bathroom, like the majority of the home, the walls in this room are Cloud White by Benjamin Moore. The blue cabinets are Cloud Sky by Benjamin Moore.

The Den + Den Bathroom

We wanted to create interest in the den by painting the walls a dark color. We used the rug and fabrics in the space as inspiration for choosing the perfect coordinating paint color and Steep Cliff Gray by Benjamin Moore was perfect.

We decided to go moody in this bathroom. The deep, rich tones of the wood create a warm and intimate atmosphere. The room takes on a character of its own, where the deep, earthy hues of the wood evoke a sense of timelessness and maturity. For the vanity color, we decided to go with this dramatic lead gray called Down Pipe by Farrow and Ball.

The Basement

In the basement, the walls are Cloud White while the shiplap is Chantilly Lace. The blue cabinets are painted in Westcott Navy by Benjamin Moore. It perfectly echoes to the gorgeous blue water right outside the window. The wood stain in the bar area is a natural stain again, approved by our design team.

The Bunk Room + Bathroom

Moving into the bunk room and its bathroom, we have lots of blue and green hues. The walls are still Cloud White while the bunk beds are Narragansett Green by Benjamin Moore with ladders that have a natural wood stain. Then we have the bunk room bath, which is a fan favorite. The vanity cabinets are Caldwell Green by Benjamin Moore.

Guest Bedrooms

The guest bedrooms and bathroom in this home are simply breathtaking. We have Cloud White on the walls of one guest room and Chantilly Lace on the trim and baseboards, like most of the rooms in the home. In the other guest room, the wallpaper serves as the heart of this space. We ended up going with Pimpernel by Morris Exclusive Wallpapers. This wallpaper sets the tone for the room's soft color palette and feminine aesthetic.

Jack & Jill Bathroom

We have two vanities in this space that look very similar in color but are a little bit different. On the left, we opted for Woodlawn Blue by Benjamin Moore and on the right, we chose Water's Edge by Benjamin Moore. These two colors look beautiful in this space together.

Thank you for joining us on this journey through the Coeur d'Alene Lake House. We hope this paint guide has inspired you and provided some fresh ideas for your own spaces. Happy painting!

Xoxo,

Lexi
