Westergard Home: Master Bedroom Reveal
I am so excited to be sharing with you our master bedroom in my personal home today! Some of you will realize this is not the master bedrooms first debut on the blog, she got a little refresh when we were remodeling some of the other spaces in our home over this past year. You can view our previous bedroom design here!
You'll notice that the upholstery bed has stayed put. It really is so timeless and versatile. I have a feeling it will be around for a long time! While we kept the bed and the window treatments, most everything else has been replaced. We started with the flooring, it was time for that carpet to go. I've dreamed of this beautiful oak flooring that I am completely in love with, and it did not disappoint! I love the warm tones it exudes under this classic vintage looking rug.
We wanted our room to have more dimension, so we started by painting the trim this beautiful contrasting gray/blue by Sherwin Williams called Silver Strand and updating the wall color to Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore- a pure silk, crisp white. Evoking moods of simpler times.
Next, I was finally able to cross off new nightstands from my wish list! Since space was an issue with our previous nightstands, I was on the hunt for something that had multiple shelves for functionality but left room for my designer heart to thrive. Adding in these unique lamps delivered character while stacking some of my favorite books and layering in structural shapes, really just completed the look.
To continue our master refresh, we added new bedding from Pottery Barn. We chose this clean, simple set that allowed us to incorporate these moody decor pillows along with this metal bench adding a masculine touch.
And finally, this little corner nook -- it truly has my heart. There is nothing better than unwinding after a long day in a comfy chair with a good book and dim lighting.
